Over three decades ago, Dr. Robert Horchover began offering select Alaska visitors a very unique chance to see Alaska’s Inside Passage while he traveled as a dentist to remote towns and villages and had the Alaska Adventurer specifically built and included a custom onboard dental office. With his keen awareness of the islands’ history and his own long experience on Alaskan waters, Dr. Bob quickly earned a reputation as a provider of high quality adventure travel. Captain Dennis Rogers and wife Toni acquired the business in 2000 when Dr. Horchover retired from chartering and the following decade has been filled with adventures for guests from all across the USA and around the globe. Besides exciting passenger adventure quests, Dennis and the Alaska Adventurer have been involved with many exciting research charters focused on various facets of Southeast Alaska’s essential wild elements. That tradition of unsurpassed unique cruises that started with Dr. Bob over 30 years ago continues: clients find fun and adventure amid the sights of southeast Alaska.
