Alaska Sea Adventures

Alaska Sea Adventures - About Us

The Alaska Adventurer at a glacier face.

Alaska Sea Adventures began providing quality Alaskan guided adventures of the Inside Passage over 25 years ago. Originally founded in the early 1970's by Dr. Robert Horchover who operated a yacht based dental office that provided an essential service to the small remote communities, camps and villages of Southeast Alaska. Dr. Bob began taking guests along on his visits and eventually sold his dental practice to focus on chartering with the Alaska Adventurer.

In 2000 Dr. Bob retired with Dennis & Toni Rogers acquiring Alaska Sea Adventures and the Alaska Adventurer to carry on the fine tradition of Alaska yacht cruises.  With tremendous enthusiasm for the Alaska we live and endear, we have enjoyed refining our charters and growing a ‘family' of Alaska Adventurer travelers. Expanded trip offerings provide our guests with an innovative in-depth Alaska experience and now include photography, birding, archaeology and research charters in addition to the always fine Alaska fishing and nature cruising which founded the business.

We're very passionate of the Alaska we are so fortunate to share with visitors, and it's our goal to show our guests the Alaska we know as Alaskans. We feel Alaska Sea Adventures has developed Alaska finest one of a kind charter yacht cruises and our guests will attest to it!

What to say, after such a special experience. There is no greater gift in life than a father seeing joy in the eyes of his children and experiencing their excitement. You have given me that gift which I will never forget. Thank you all for everything, it was an unsurpassable experience, a wonderful trip. Your efforts in helping all of us get the most out of this trip were beyond the call of duty. Thank you for the care and love you shared with all of us. You are the greatest.

Thanks to Captain Dennis and all the crew for an outstanding introduction to Southeast Alaska.  It is a delight to travel with a crew that enjoys their work so much.  Capt. Dennis drives the ship like a professional photographer, giving all great shots from every angle in the best light.  Being free from a set itinerary is a real blessing.  We shall return.
